About

Who I am

My name is Martin Král. I run Instinct Media - a performance marketing and data analytics agency in Prague with 30+ people - and I still work as an analyst inside it. Not because I have to. Without my hands in the data I would lose touch with what I am actually selling.

I started freelancing on PPC campaigns in 2011. Then Inspiro Solutions and Kindred Group, where I ended up leading the media and analytics department. In 2018 Ben Olšanský and I founded Instinct Media. Over eight years we have delivered more than 400 projects for Prima, Heureka, Orea Hotels, PSN, Storyous, Sodexo and a hundred other companies.

This year I added two more things: FastSite, where we build websites in seven days for 990 CZK a month, and PerformanceRent, a sports car rental in Prague.

I am not trying to scale at any cost. I would rather do fewer things well and offer them to people who already trust me.

How I make decisions

Most personal websites list what someone can do. This is what I fall back on when things get complicated.

Fewer things, done well. Revenue growth is not the goal - the goal is that what I hand over holds up.

Trading cards and Lego

Eight years of collecting Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, sports cards and more recently Riftbound. I do not sell any of it - it is half the joy of collecting, half a long-term investment. And Lego, because that one is simply impossible to quit.

A gym in the office

A gym in the office

Every morning before seven, before the day starts. Cardio and weights on even days, a longer block and core work on odd ones. The gym is in our office, so “I did not have time to drive there” is not available as an excuse.

Chico

Staffordshire bull terrier. Every day we take a relaxed half-hour walk together, and it is the best meeting of my whole day.
